My story

Lydia, a beautiful two-year-old black and white Black Labrador, is ready to find her loving forever home. During her time at the shelter, she shared her space with a younger dog and responded well to gentle encouragement, especially tasty treats, when it was time to go into her crate. Once inside, she was perfectly content and calm. Upon arriving at the shelter, Lydia showed some understandable nervousness in her new surroundings, but she readily accepted handling. While she may need a little time to feel completely at ease with new people, her sweet nature shines through. Given the choice, Lydia prefers to politely step back or avoid interactions rather than displaying any defensiveness. Lydia's gentle spirit and willingness to be handled suggest that with patience and a nurturing environment, she will blossom into a wonderful and devoted companion. She is simply waiting for someone to offer her the security and love she deserves.
