My story

*Sweet Pea does not attend our Saturday adoption events and is available by private adoption appointment for pre-approved applicants. She is located in foster care in Greeley, CO.* Meet Sweet Pea! This lovable girl is simple at heart and doesn’t ask for much — just a little affection and a lot of love. Sweet Pea is affectionate, loyal, and gentle. She delights in belly rubs, leisurely walks in the park, playtime with her toys, and being the center of your attention. Due to her rough start to life, she is a little socially awkward with other dogs and requires slow, thoughtful introductions. She can also be reactive on leash when seeing other dogs, but her intelligence and eagerness to please make her easily redirectable. Sweet Pea loves to chase bunnies and squirrels and would do best in a home without felines. She also feels overwhelmed by the energy of young children, and would thrive in an adult-only or older children home. Sweet Pea is a 1-year-old mixed breed rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog's adoption fee is $250 and includes up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, 4DX testing, and spay. Sweet Pea is also tested with other dogs, children, and potty and kennel trained. She would do best in a home with children over the age of 8. She would also do best in a home without felines. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if she might be a good fit for your home. The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals. We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!) Please note, we do not have the ability to process adoption applications at our adoption events, so please plan accordingly. If an application is submitted past 5pm on Monday-Thursday, it will begin review the following day. If submitted on Friday-Sunday, it will begin review on Monday. It takes approximately 1-2 business days for an application to be processed. Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525). *We will not be hosting an adoption event on Saturday, May 10. Instead, we are offering private adoption appointments to pre-approved applicants. Please contact us to learn more.
