0810 Venus

My story

Venus is fostered in Waukesha, WI. These sweet little nuggets were born in an over-crowded Kansas shelter.  Momma Vixen and her 3 babies were brought into rescue when the pups were 1 week old. The puppies are now ready to find their adoptive homes.  Vader is a male Mini Australian Shepherd (Mini American Shepherd) Border Collie mix that will remain on the smaller size, as their momma is only 25 lbs.  He was born on 03/24/2025.   Venus is the "follow the leader" type. Wherever her brothers go, she follows. A lover of affection & most of all - food. This gal is going to be one inquisitive companion! She is doing GREAT on potty training and will need to stay on a schedule to continue to be successful.  Aussie and Border Collie pups need to be socialized with the world around them once adopted.  They need to be exposed to various types of stimuli and have already learned so much from being in their foster home.   If you have never had an Aussie, Border Collie or a working dog before, we recommend doing a little research before committing to this high energy working breed!  He will need a MINIMUM of 2-3 hours of exercise throughout the day.   Venus is up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, is microchipped, dewormed and on monthly prevention for fleas, ticks and heartworm.  Proof of heartworm prevention for any current or previous pets is required to adopt from our organization.  For more information on our adoption process, please visit our website at www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org.
