Name: Rocky Age: 5 Years Breed: Australian Shepherd Mix Gender: Male Meet Rocky! Rocky is a gentle, loving soul with the heart of a warrior. This 5-year-old Australian Shepherd mix was recently pulled from a shelter after being surrendered due to an old leg injury that caused him to limp. Despite the pain he’s endured, Rocky remains one of the sweetest, most affectionate dogs you’ll ever meet. A Brave Boy With a Big Heart After a full veterinary work-up and x-rays, it was discovered that Rocky has a dislocated femur that never properly healed. While it doesn't slow him down much, his best path forward will likely be a leg amputation to give him a pain-free, happy life as a three-legged pup. Kind, Calm & Full of Love Rocky is great with other dogs and adores being around people. He has a calm, gentle nature and just wants to be near someone who will love him unconditionally. He may have had a rough start, but he’s ready for a second chance. Ready for His New Beginning Rocky is up to date on all vaccinations and is currently being evaluated for his upcoming surgery. Once he’s healed, he’ll be ready to embrace life as a strong, happy tripod—and he’ll do it with the biggest smile and most grateful heart.
