My story

Chill Bro tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in an experienced, adult only home.A volunteer writes: Chill Bro waited alone in a room for some help after his person passed away. Since coming to the shelter, he's been trying to make the most of things but understandably still looks a bit down at times. We see exciting glimpses of his progress and applaud the work Chill Bro's put in to put his best paw forward. Admittedly, first impressions weren't quite his thing when he first came in, but introductions can baffle even the most outgoing among us. Though Chill Bro initially seemed to favor a welcoming hiss to anyone walking by, he's changed his tune in a short time. While you might now see him tucked away in the corner by himself, please share a moment with him. Chill Bro graciously sniffs our offerings of treats and gingerly accepts our pets and scritches. He may need some time to warm up, a little extra patience, and a whole lot more love as he begins his new chapter but we know his chance is coming.
