My story

Goldeneye—great name, better cat. This 1-year-old grey charmer might spend most of his day lounging in his bed, but don’t be fooled—he’s always ready for action. Approach his kennel and he’s quick to perk up, purring and leaning into every pet like it’s the best thing that’s ever happened to him. Just a heads-up: he can get a little grabby when you try to leave, so toss him a treat or toy on your way out to keep things diplomatic. Goldeneye was surrendered as a stray, so we don’t have much background info. Here at the shelter, he’s made it clear that he’s not a fan of other cats—he gets grumbly and hissy when they’re nearby. Because of that, he’d do best as the only feline in the home, and may need a buffer from any curious neighbor cats peeking in the windows. He hasn’t been around children as far as we know, so a child meet is recommended to make sure it’s a good fit. If you’re looking for a loyal, low-maintenance buddy who’s full of purrs, personality, and just the right amount of attitude—Goldeneye is ready to make your home his base.
