My story

Microchipped, FIV/FeLV negative, DOB: Aug 23, 2023 My name is Gracie and boy, have I came a long way. I don’t mean distance-wise because I came from a shelter and not quite sure where it was. When Toronto Cat Rescue got me into foster care, someone from the shelter had called me feral, terrified and even aggressive! Gasp! Although I am shy and was scared, I was mostly protesting at being kept in a cage where I wasn’t given the chance to play. (And I really like to play) I’m still nervous around humans but my foster mom seems nice, and I keep watching the other cats who enjoy being close to her, I think this needs further investigation before I make up my mind. My foster mom says she has been able to boop my nose several times and although I don’t let her pet me, I try to do a good job at making sure there no monsters anywhere in her home. This means inspecting anywhere I can get to – especially places up high she can’t get at, or under the small rugs. I try to capture the mice that always seem to be under the covers at the bottom of the bed but have never quite caught them. I have made friends with the other cats in the home, and we often play tag. I’d love to be in a forever home where there are other young cats to play with. Or even just cat to show me the ropes and I will play on my own. Although the older cat here seems to enjoy wagging her tail so I can’t catch it. From Gracie’s foster mom: this sweet, adorable cat has shown a great amount of progress since she has been here. She just needs a home where she will be shown the patience she needs to get her confidence up with people. She is very curious and learns by watching others, so another cat in the home would be very helpful

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Gracie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
