My story

Julep is a sweet treat weighing in between 4 to 5 pounds. This baby will be a wonderful companion and lap dog and is now ready for her forever home! Julep is a delightful wirehaired terrier–Chihuahua mix with a sparkling personality and a heart full of love. This little one is about 4 months old having been born on January 9, 2025. She is expected to stay petite like her 8 lb mama, and is the perfect lap-sized companion. Julep is outgoing, playful, and full of zest! This tiny doll gets along famously with dogs, cats, and kids alike. She’s vocal when it’s time to play and absolutely adores snuggling—whether it’s with her human or fellow furry friends. Julep is also a little superstar when it comes to manners: she is potty pad trained, crate trained, and x-pen trained. Due to her small size, she should not be left unattended outdoors, but she’s perfectly content playing inside and cuddling up when playtime winds down. This sweet and refreshing girl has just the right amount of tang—always eager for affection and adventure. She was even the first in her litter to jump onto the couch just to snuggle on her foster mom’s chest and neck for kisses. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals.
