“Free to a good home or she will die." That was the title of the Facebook Marketplace post in San Antonio, Texas that Vida's life depended on. We had to get her out of harms way, she was just a baby. In Texas, those threats must be taken seriously; whatever they had planned for her was not going to be pretty. Vida was given her name because it means LIFE in Spanish. It’s a beautiful remembrance of what she still has and what's ahead of her: life. Vida is a sweet playful puppy and very easy to fall in love with. She loves food and anything you’ll share with her. She has no problem cleaning off plates- she considers it her contribution to “washing the dishes." She was not well fed prior to being rescued so food is her best friend. Vida loves other dogs and is very playful. She also loves kids but since she's so tiny and can be injured easily, even accidentally, older kids are recommended to keep her safe. She hasn’t met a cat yet but is still young enough and doesn’t have a prey drive. Vida is being fostered in San Antonio, Texas, anxiously awaiting a committed adopter or foster to ask her up to live out a Colorado life. ##2393934##
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Vida, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
