My story

This big, beautiful boy is sporting his own version of camo! Camo arrived as a stray and is getting settled at the shelter. He`s doing a good job working on his skills with the volunteers, with whom he`s very friendly. He walks very well on the leash, takes treats gently, and is happy to enjoy a nice visit in a lap (after proper introductions, of course!) He is also a very smart boy, happy to show off his command of `sit` already.Camo is a big boy who would do better with older children and would love to meet the entire family. If you also have doggy family members, he`d love to have an introduction led by shelter staff to ensure that everyone is set up for a successful life together.Camo recently spent a day away from the shelter on a Dog Day Out adventure, and it sounds like everyone had a great time! `We stayed in my fenced backyard for about 3-4 hours; he met my 2 teenage sisters and my husband. He was so so sweet with them and not at all timid; in fact, all he wanted to do was cuddle or sit by us with his back to us. Our backyard neighbors have 2 golden retrievers who came up the fence and barked repeatedly; he would look over but was not that interested otherwise. He either roamed the yard sniffing or sat by us for cuddles. Fed him strawberries and blueberries that he loved.`Camo is vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. He keeps his kennel clean, which tells us he is likely housetrained. His ADOPTION FEE IS WAIVED! We want all our dogs to have homes as quickly as possible. In an effort to help dogs with longer stays, those who are deteriorating in the shelter environment, or who are harder to place find homes more quickly, the adoption fee for this dog has been waived.
