Meet Karena! 🐾 Karena is an adorable Blue Heeler mix puppy who’s full of curiosity, enthusiasm, and boundless puppy energy. Just one look into her bright, intelligent eyes and you’ll know she’s ready to explore the world by your side. Like most herding breeds, Karena is quick-witted and eager to learn—but she’s still very much in her puppy phase, which means she’ll need a patient and consistent hand to guide her as she grows. This little adventurer thrives on mental stimulation and physical activity, so she’ll do best in a home where she has room to run and play, along with someone willing to invest time in training and enrichment. Karena is a blank slate right now, soaking up every new experience—so early socialization, structure, and positive reinforcement will be key to helping her grow into the confident, well-behaved adult dog she’s meant to be. While she may be a handful at times (as all puppies are!), her loyalty and affection will more than make up for it. Karena will bond deeply with her humans and would love nothing more than to be part of a family that understands her breed’s drive and gives her a job or purpose. If you’re looking for a clever, energetic, and affectionate pup who’s ready for adventure and lots of love, Karena might just be the perfect match for you. The shelter is open Tuesday through Friday from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM, and on Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A meet-and-greet is required for all shelter dogs 6 months and older if you already have a dog. Thank you for considering the adoption of a shelter animal in need!
