My story

This very nice, very big boy is the total package if you’re looking for calm companionship, quiet strength, and a dog who knows his own mind. Wendel is friendly and engaging with people he knows, showing off loose, relaxed body language and a quiet presence that makes him a joy to be around. He’s not the type to rush into new friendships—he’s more of a “let’s take our time” kind of guy—but once he trusts you, you’ve got a loyal friend for life. Wendel is an independent thinker with strong instincts. Because of this, he needs to be the only pet in the home—no other dogs, cats, or critters. He’s happiest in a peaceful environment where he can relax, feel secure, and take his job (watching over his people) seriously.Wendel loves his outside time and really enjoys wandering in our fenced yards. If you’ve got some space and a love for big, majestic dogs who thrive outdoors, he just might be your perfect match. His beautiful coat is one of his most striking features, but it does require regular grooming and upkeep—he’ll need an adopter committed to helping him stay clean, brushed, and comfortable.
