I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog Adoption:8Meet Captain- the sweet and handsome German Shepherd gentleman! Captain is 5.8-year-old German Shepherd gentleman, weighing in at 87 lbs—with a calm, steady presence and an amazing air of serenity. Leash angel: Walks beautifully on leash, slowing down with even the lightest leash pressure. Scent detective: Loves to keep his nose to the ground, calmly exploring and marking as he tries to figure out his new surroundings. Polite greeter: Approaches people slowly and gently, especially when given time and space—may surprise you with a soft face sniff or kiss once he’s comfortable. Well-mannered: Responds to “sit” and takes treats gently from an open palm. Grooming champ: Patient and tolerant during brushing, enjoying the quiet connection.
