My story

What my friends at ACC say about me:I have lived with dogs in my previous home.I have been known to shower my favorite people in love!I am a cat that is in need of a lap! I can't wait to be your new lap cat.I am finding the shelter a little overwhelming, but when it's just you and me and some peace and quiet you'll see what a love bug I am.I am looking for a home with a patient person.I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.I will flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home.I'm sensitive and shy. I'll need extra help from you.I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them.A volunteer writes: Accomplished bird watcher and snuggle aficionado, Sitara is ready to get right back to it. Well, mostly ready. I think Sitara would probably prefer to skip over this middle part, but it's part of the process even for someone as phenomenally well rounded as Sitara. We've learned that she's lived with dogs and is known to play gently with them, she enjoys being picked up and held, and is reportedly a social butterfly around new people. Since the shelter's substantially different from a home, Sitara didn't list all the bird species she knows, nor did she climb into my lap for some cuddles. Instead, Sitara waited in her den for what was going to happen next, which isn't always a fun way to approach the day, but sometimes fun things happen! I offered a treat and she came forward. Sitara wants to make friends, even with so much going on around her, but with a name as beautiful as she is, we know a family is just around the corner for her.
