My story

My foster writes: The first thing you need to know is that Stella snores. This is relevant because she will be on or near you whenever she or both of you are asleep. She is a snuggler and shameless lap dog (ahem, please note her size). She loves to play with her foster mom, spend time in the park, and tear into her toys (those magnificent ones with the squeaking ball inside!). She is working on her leash manners and is a sweet student. Her potty habits are excellent. She sports a rain coat when skies are gray and a lovely scarf when the sun shines...puppy pearls are in her future. If you need a true friend and love bug in your life, she is a lovely sidekick for any and every adventure!🌟 Meet Stella!Owner Surrender - Found as a Stray, Cared for by a Good SamaritanStella is a 4-year-old sweetheart with a calm presence and an affectionate soul. After being found wandering near a playground, she was taken in by a kind neighbor who hoped to find her family-but when no one came forward and medical care became too expensive, Stella was lovingly surrendered to ACC for a second chance. Now this mellow, loving pup is looking for her forever home.🏡 My Ideal HomeStella would be a wonderful match for someone seeking a relaxed, loyal companion. She's easy to walk, tolerant of new experiences, and happiest when lounging by your side or getting gentle pets. A home where she can continue healing and be treated like the cherished family member she is would be ideal.👶 Good with Kids?Yes! Stella previously lived with children and was described as tolerant and friendly. Her easygoing nature makes her a great match for families with respectful kids.🐕 Good with Other Dogs?Stella has not lived with other dogs, but she's been neutral and polite during greetings at the shelter. She could be a good fit with a calm, compatible canine companion after a slow introduction.🦮 Leash MannersStella walks well on leash, occasionally pulling toward interesting smells but never unruly. She's a breeze to take on strolls and checks in sweetly with her handler along the way.🧠 Behavior Determination: Level 1Stella is a gentle, social, easygoing dog who seeks out human affection and calmly navigates new environments. She's tolerant, housetrained, and unbothered by handling-even when startled or restrained.🎉 One Fun FactShe loves Milk-Bone MaroSnacks and baby talk-and she'll gently lean into you for more when the treats are gone!💸 Adoption Fee: Sponsored! Thanks to ACC staff member Erica, Stella's adoption fee has been fully covered-all she needs now is your heart and home. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 66 Age: 4yrs 1mths 1wks

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Stella, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
