My story

We’ve had Mitsuki for about 6 years. Originally she was very happy living with our other two cats, but we started having issues after our oldest cat got loose outside for a few days. When we got him back inside, Mitsuki became extremely upset and her behavior became very anxious and sort of aggressive. I’ve since learned that this is most likely a result of “redirected aggression”. She started to avoid the litter box, but she uses one as long as I have a separate one that doesn’t have the other cats’ scents. I know that I could resolve this issue if I had the space to keep them separate and reintroduce them, but I do not and she is very unhappy and anxious in the meantime. I would love her to have a home where she can have her own space and reclaim her peaceful and loving personality. She is still very cuddly and sweet with the people she loves, but she’s not overly friendly with everyone; only those she is comfortable with.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Mitsuki, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
