My story

Colorado, meet adoptable Kiki! 🐾🥰💕 Kiki is a 3 year old Pitbull Australian Shepherd type mix who is one of the most resilient dogs we’ve been honored to have in our rescue💓 unfortunately with her resiliency comes a traumatic history.. Kiki & her 2 siblings were saved from Clovis Animal Shelter’s euthanasia list while the rescue tragically left mom behind💔😭 the puppies came down with parvo and barely survived. Then the rescue bailed, and left the local foster with the pups. After weeks of her pleading for help- we agreed to take on the 3 shy babies. We thought Kiki found her happily ever after, but she was returned to us after the family divorced. Kiki was underweight and noticeably depressed💔A shy dog like Kiki loves HARD and truly loved her new family, it was devastating that she was returned- and in a hurry. Kiki’s old foster family welcomed her back with open arms, and after realizing she’s back to a safe and loving family she knows, Kiki opened herself right back up. 💓 Her food was changed, increased, and after multiple vet appts - she is 100% cleared, healthy, and ready to find her TRUE forever. Her foster family’s own words-“Kiki is one of the most loving dogs. Her perfect day would be to lay around and be loved. She likes to snuggle once she knows you, she likes to lick and give hugs. Once she’s settled, she really is low-maintenance. She does like to bark at people walking too close (we live on a golf course), but will come in and stop barking when called.” Beautiful girl is 52lbs, completely potty trained and crate trained. She is a total foodie- with treats and blueberries being her faves🤩one of her best friends is her Doxie foster doggy sister- she LOVES to play with her and chase her. Another one of her favorite things to do is snuggle with her humans💗 Kiki would do best with a patient, loving family who has someone who works from home or is home more often. Kiki is shy around new people, she takes some time to warm up. She has bonded to the 4 teens in the home, her foster mom & dad, & does fine around the kitties🐈 She is dog friendly and needs proper introductions for success. Kiki would do best with a backyard as she loves to spend her time outside☀️ she would also do best with older children (14+). Kiki is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on shots. Her adoption fee is $125 🐾 please submit an adoption application if you are interested in meeting this lover girl! She deserves the happiest ever after🥺🌈 https://dooverdogs.com/multi-step-adoption-form-1/

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Kiki, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
