My story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Molly – From Survivor to Sweetheart Age: 2–3 years Breed: Spayed Female Black and Rust Doberman Pinscher Status: Available for Adoption Location: United Doberman Rescue & Canine Castaways of Minnesota www.uniteddobermanrescue.org In March 2025, Molly was rescued from one of the most heartbreaking cruelty cases we’ve seen. Pulled from a horrific breeding operation in Washington County, Iowa—where 17 Dobermans were found deceased and 49 others clung to life—Molly was just a number in the chaos. But today, she is no longer dog #48. She is Molly, a survivor, a fighter, and a Doberman ready for a new beginning. When Molly first arrived in safety, she was suffering from a large mammary tumor, likely the result of years of unchecked breeding. With that removed and after being fully vetted, spayed Molly is now healthy, strong, and beginning to discover what love, safety, and comfort truly feel like. Since arriving in her foster home, Molly has shown us: A heart full of love and forgiveness Kindness and acceptance toward other dogs A gentle and patient nature with older children A newfound love for couches and cozy dog beds A curiosity about toys—she's watching, learning, and beginning to play At first, she wasn’t sure about things like couches, soft places, or toys. It took her a couple of days just to sit down on the couch—but now she’s realized it’s one of life’s sweetest luxuries. Her progress has been incredible to witness. Despite her past, Molly has the gentlest soul. Her resilience is inspiring, and her capacity to trust again is nothing short of miraculous. The ghosts of her past are fading fast, replaced by love, warmth, and kindness. Molly is ready for a forever family that will treat her with the compassion she’s always deserved. She is no longer a number. She is someone. Ready to give Molly the life she was born to have? Apply to adopt at www.uniteddobermanrescue.org  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.All potential adopters must fill out  the adoption application. We will not place adult rescue dogs in homes with young children under 6 years old, with the exception of puppies 6 months and under, we will adopt to families with children under 6 years old, but a fenced yard is mandatory. Our dogs must live indoors with their humans and never left outdoors alone or in a kennel or yard unattended. You must be willing to use a crate and sign up for formal obedience classes. You must be 21 and own your home. We will not adopt outside of the USA. We will not ship our dogs.
