My story

Ernest is a handsome, smart, and sensitive guy looking for a calm, committed home where he can feel safe and understood. While shelter life has been a bit overwhelming for him, Ernest has shown us that he’s full of potential — offering sweet check-ins on walks, leaning in for head and ear scratches, and even showing off his `sit` and `shake` skills!He’s a big fan of exploring the outdoors, sniffing everything in sight, and soaking up gentle affection from people he trusts. Ernest walks well on leash in quieter areas and enjoys routine and predictability.Ernest would do best as the only pet in a home with adults or older teens who can help him build confidence and continue his training.
