Meet Penny, a super sweet 2-3 year old spayed female hound/cur mix, weighing about 38 lbs! Penny was sadly abandoned in the Great Smoky Mountains with her young puppies. The local humane society took in the puppies, but not Penny Penny was taken in by PRL and transported to New England, and she is ready to find her furever home! From Penny's current foster: "Penny has been such a sweet girl and very responsive to hugs and kisses. With all the pups around, she does sometimes get lost in the crowd so I’m always amazed how forgiving she is. She loves to play hard but knows when it’s quiet time - sleeps soundly through the night. Also loves a good bone to keep her occupied and exhibits no aggression when taking it away I’m sure Penny would love to have a buddy to play with but I have no doubt she’d be fine as the only dog. Crate trained and so far hasn’t destroyed anything in the house." Medically up to date, crate trained, and housebroken, Penny is ready to bring joy and companionship to her forever family. Apply today to meet this loving girl and give her the happy ending she deserves. Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs. We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted. As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2401045##
