Meet Gracie – the sweetest soul we ever saved!We pulled Gracie minutes before she was scheduled to be put down at the shelter, and we’re so grateful we did—because this gentle girl deserves to live, be loved, and find her forever family.Gracie is a 6-year-old German Shepherd who is calm, loving, and incredibly sweet. At first, she was shy and unsure, but once she felt safe, she opened up and now simply wants to be close to her humans. Her favorite thing? Gentle affection and quiet companionship.She’s doing amazing in her foster home—recently spayed and started heartworm treatment, and she’s been a total trooper through it all.Here’s what we’ve learned about her:Wonderful with children! She’s been sweet and gentle with our grandsons (ages 2 and 4).Quiet and calm inside the home, and a little curious outdoors—she perks her ears up at bunnies and squirrels but isn’t overly reactive.She’s not aggressive at all—just a bit uninterested in other dogs on walks.She would thrive with someone who works from home or is retired, as she loves just being near her people.Due to travel and caregiving responsibilities for my elderly mother, we can’t continue to foster her long-term—but she is truly a dream dog for someone with a little time and a big heart.Please consider giving this beautiful girl the second chance she deserves.
