His high level of fearfulness and not being able to adjust to the care center environment. Though he can be leashed with ease, he displays anxiety, including cowering, pacing, and occasional thrashing on leash. While outside of his kennel, Coco Puffs is starting to seek more comfort from familiar handlers and has been improving in the care center readily approaching staff and interacting on his own volition, leaning into petting. Medically, Coco Puffs has dermatitis.Coco Puffs came into the care center as an owner surrender due to moving out of state and unable to bring him with them. In the care center Coco Puffs is a fearful and timid dog who has shown consistent signs of anxiety in the care center. He is often found lying in the back of his kennel and may ignore treats or attempt to retreat when approached. Though he can be leashed with a slow, low-pressure approach, he remains cautious and occasionally balks or thrashes when startled, particularly by sudden movements or unfamiliar objects. Outside, Coco explores briefly before withdrawing to a corner He is noted in the prior home to be a social and affectionate dog. He spends most of his time in the sun room, and in the backyard. He loves to cuddle. In the care center, Coco Puffs has made more friends as he begins to improve in the care center, walking up to staff with a soft body, begging to be scratched on his chest and baby talked the entire time.
