Meet Kiwi! She is a sweet and friendly dog that is initially shy but enjoys human affection. She will come up to you and she does allow you to pick her up. She is going to love being being part of a family. She rides in the front seat in the car. Car rides still make her a bit nervous so more joy rides will help her see the opportunities for free smells is exciting not scary She does well with the other small dogs in the house. She hasn't played but co-exists with no issues. She attends doggy daycare multiple days a week to help with socialization. With toys she doesn't play with them but she will take them and hide them around the yard. It's adorable. I'll try to get a video to show you When she pees she puts all her weight on both front paws and lifts up her back end like a little froggy. it's adorable. When she came to us from an Amish breeder in central MO she had been shaved down to the skin. our groomer did the best to even her out. Now we just wait for her hair to grow back. We have her on a super nutritious diet Basics: She is a spayed 4 yr old female that weighs 7lbs. She is currently in a foster home in Kansas City, MO with 5 other small dogs and a 6 yr old boy. She has had the following vetting: spayed fecal (negative) heartworm test (negative) bloodwork rabies DHPP Canine Flu Bordetella microchip groomed Adoption Process: - Please fill out our adoption application: https://www.dayofthedogs.org/adoption-application - One of our team members will get back to you via phone. - Our dogs can be seen by appointment only. We do not have a facility at this time. Dogs are in foster homes or boarding - Adoption fee helps to cover transport costs, spay/neuter, initial vaccines, rabies, fecal, initial worming, and microchip. -We do not place holds on our dogs. Please do not contact us until you are prepared to adopt. NOTE: We are very good about updating the pet's profiles once adopted. So no need to write us to ask "Is he/she still available?" If the post is up, the dog is still available. About Us: Day of the Dogs is a 501c3 nonprofit. Since 2015 we have been dedicated to helping shelters increase live release. We coordinate 2 - 4 transports per month from TX, OK and AR to NW Indiana/Chicagoland and the Kansas City area. We do direct adoptions ourselves out of Kansas City and NW Indiana areas. We also partner with other rescues and shelters in IN, IL, KS and MO that are willing to help southern pets in need. We rely on donations to help fund our ongoing transports. Please donate if you can. Every dollar adds up and we are grateful for any help we can get: https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/DayoftheDogs
