My story

Meet Rex, the playful gray meowasaurus with a coat as smooth as volcanic ash and eyes that sparkle like amber. He is ready to trade life in the wild for indoor civilization with the purr-fect family! This adorably furr-ocious fella is in tune with his natural predator and loves to hunt, pounce, and kick catnip toys, crinkle balls, rattly mice, or even misplaced hair ties (anything he can get his paws on) before plopping down on the carpet to sunbathe like a lazy lizard! Rex is FeLV+, which means he must be adopted with other FeLV+ kitties or as a solo cat who will get plenty of attention, play time, and enrichment with his new family. While he does enjoy the occasional head scratch or quick snooze at the foot of your bed, he is content with the calm and safety of just being in your presence without being overly cuddly. This little purradactyl’s love for food will have you roarin’ with laughter! He loves to roam around the kitchen ready to swipe tasty morsels off the counter, including blueberry muffins that were left unattended one evening. He would do best in a quieter home as large groups and unfamiliar noises can be a bit scary for him from his former life on the streets. He also needs a home with adults only (or older children who can respect cat boundaries) and people who are looking for an independent feline, will embrace his love languages of food and playtime, and respect his need for affection on his own terms. He would do great as a solo pet in the home or with other FeLV+ friends looking for kitty companions!
