My story

Hello there! I’m Watson, a 2-year-old, 68.7-pound retriever mix with a heart full of joy and a tail that never stops wagging! I’m as sweet and friendly as they come—goofy, playful, and always ready for an adventure.I LOVE car rides, meeting new people, and making furry friends along the way. Kids? I think they’re awesome! My curious nature means I’m always exploring, whether it’s sniffing out new places or chasing after my next great discovery.If you’re looking for a lovable, energetic companion who will brighten your days, I’m your guy. Come spend some time with me—I promise you won’t regret it!Walk-ins are available from Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Saturday and Sundays have walk-in hours from noon to 4 PM. For information regarding the adoption process please visit our website or read the information below THANK YOU.ADOPTION PROCESS: If you are interested in adopting from Second ChanceSPCA, please come during open hours. Adopters will visit with an adoption counselor and complete a short application. Adopters must live within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and be at least 21 years old. Renters must provide proof of pet deposit and/or written permission by landlord to have a pet.ADOPTION FEES: Includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, fecal, and heartworm test (dogs) or FeLV/FIV test (cats). All cats and dogs are current on heartworm and flea preventative. $275 for puppies under 6 months of age and $225 for dogs older than 6 months. $175 for kittens under 6 months of age and $150 for cats older than 6 months.
