My story

Pippa is a smiley hound and she has a lot to be happy about this week - she's coming to NECR! Pippa is a little over a year old, and petite at 40 - 45 lbs. She's been in the care of rescuers in West Virginia where she was in a county shelter. Pippa is shy upon meeting but not aggressive in any way - respectfully timid, observant in a steady curious manner, loves to burrow and make a nest in blankets or hay. Pippa folds her ears forward when she’s curious - they look twice their size! Pippa will be very loyal and appreciates attention once she knows you. She's comfortable around other dogs, unknown with cats. Pippa will arrive in Massachusetts May 31. If you’d like to apply to adopt, please submit an application using the link below. Our dogs are in foster homes throughout the area or in some cases in the south waiting to be transported north. We do not have a physical shelter. Once the phone interview is completed, we will check your vet reference as well as a personal reference and conduct a home visit.
