My story

Meet Shadow! Shadow came to us from a hoarding situation, along with his buddy Chance. They came from a hoarding situation in Coatesville PA where all the animals were sadly neglected and not receiving the care and attention they needed. Shadow is a 5 year old German Shepherd Mix who is very sweet and affectionate but still very nervous at this time. He came in with toe nails severely overgrown, making it extremely difficult for him to walk. He got all the medical care he needed and is starting to decompress and open up! He is very dog friendly, sweet, and intelligent! As with all rescue dogs, they will need a family who is understanding and prepared to work through a period of transition with them as they learn to live in a house and around people. They will need time to trust their new family before working on training, such as house training. We require all our animals to be trained using positive reinforcement methods ONLY.
