My story

WARNING: HIGH ENERGY LIFE FORM DETECTED Meet Viper – 35 lbs of Pure Zoomies and Chaos™️ Looking for a dog that doubles as a personal trainer, adventure buddy, and part-time tornado? Say hello to Viper – a 7-month-old Catahoula mix with the speed of a racecar, the energy of a toddler after cake, and the friendliness of a golden retriever at a BBQ. Viper didn’t earn his name by being quiet and subtle. No, this boy zips, zooms, and wiggles his way through life like he’s been shot out of a cannon and just remembered he left the oven on. Likes: Running in circles until the Earth tilts on its axis Playing with friendly dog pals who can keep up Anything that squeaks, bounces, or can be chewed YOU. Seriously, he’s your biggest fan and probably already wrote a song about you. Dislikes: Being bored. (He considers boredom a personal attack.) People who say, “Maybe tomorrow.” The concept of "chill." Viper is active, outgoing, and ready for adventure. Got a hiking trail? He’ll lead the way. Want to jog? Better lace up. Need help digging a hole in the backyard? He’s already halfway to China. He’s still young, which means he’s learning—like how not to steal your socks while maintaining intense eye contact—but he’s smart, food-motivated, and eager to please (especially if you have snacks). If you’re looking for a high-octane best friend who will turn your walks into marathons and your couch into a wrestling ring, Viper is your dude. Adopt Viper – and prepare to live life in the fast lane. If interested, please call the shelter at 231-861-5395 and leave a message to be placed on this dog's adoption list. No obligation, but it reserves your place in line on the list. The shelter will contact individuals as they appear on the list. Ask about adoption transportation assistance if you do not live in the local area. The adoption fee is $95 and you receive certificates for $50 towards spay/neuter and $10 towards rabies vaccine if not already done. All dogs are heartworm tested, receive a DHLPP, flea and tick treatment, a bordetella vaccination and are dewormed.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Viper, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
