My story

Please read the pet description IN IT'S ENTIRETY before applying.  Thank you for your cooperation. Update:  5/24/25 owner surrendered dog to us. Update:  Reclaimed by owner 5/17/2025 NEW INTAKE 5/16/2025:  Kissimmee (actual name Tootie) - female - 1 year old - 14.4 pounds - Pug Reason for intake:  This little dog was found in the Southern Hills Dog Park in Shreveport.  She was spotted there for several hours and people finally realized there was no human there with her.  A man posted her on social media.  A woman who said she would contact us, came and got her and she then contacted us.  We took her in.  Upon scanning, she had a chip.  We made contact with the company who put us in touch with the owner.  We left a message for her to contact us.  Today, "Tootie" got reclaimed by her worried owner.  Apparently, the kids left the gate open and Tootie slipped away.  They live near the dog park so it's likely someone thought maybe she was supposed to be in the dog park and put in the park.  We'll never know for sure but this little girl is back home with her people.  CHIPS WORK! “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.”  ~ Gandhi Be responsible ~  Always spay/neuter, keep your dogs on heartworm prevention, vaccinate against disease... and if you bring a pet into your life, commit to that pet for life.  Blessings.
