My story

She has exhibited signs of kennel stress and deterioration, including breaking the bars of her kennel door. When relocated to a new kennel, she was seen chewing on the metal siding of the door. Waffles recently ripped that panel out of the wall of her kennel. Despite these concerns, Waffles displays a loose, wiggly body and actively participates in training exercises. Medically waffles has recurrent CIRDC. What my friends at ACC say about me:I have potential behavior challenges that staff will address with you when you meet me.I would do best in a home with only adult humans.I am looking for a home with a patient person.I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.I will flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home.A volunteer writes: Waffles initially made her way to us when she hopped in someone's car after a night out at the club. Waffles is a gem of a girl, she is social, wiggly, sweet and irresistible. We know immediately she's a girl made to wear pajamas, and her cuddly self looks ready for the best sleepover of your life. Waffles spent time in a foster home and briefly in an adopted home as well, but was returned to the care center. Waffles does not like to spend time around other dogs, which makes the shelter especially stressful. She is trying her best not to let it get her down, and enjoys every minute she can get with her volunteer friends. She shows off her sit and paw.
