My story

We are delighted to introduce you to Henry. He is a really special boy and is reaching is 1 year with the rescue, still searching for his forever home! He came into our program last June, and keeps getting looked over. Are you the loving family that will take this boy home? Henry came to Never Less Cat Rescue when he was discovered behind the tire of a car - after it had been on the road! His finders pulled over when they heard something unusual, and there was Henry! Scared to death and absolutely frazzled. We quickly rushed to get him and to our surprise, he didn't have a single scratch on him! Absolutely no injuries - just a shaken nervous system, and we don't blame him! The truth for Henry is he is scared of strangers. As a result, he does not do well during adoption events and meet and greets, he prefers to hide. This is ultimately the only reason this poor, sweet and funny boy has not been adopted yet. Once he gets to know you though - oh boy, he isn't a scaredy cat! Not even the slightest. He loves to sleep in the bed with his foster parents or curled up with one of his foster brothers or sisters. He really loves cats and wants to be friends with them and play. He has not been introduced to dogs, but we anticipate that he could adjust to a cat-friendly dog with time. A consistently hyperactive, loud dog would not be a good fit for Henry. Henry spends most of his time in his foster home playing with the other kitties, but he spends a lot of time with his foster parents too! He is a lovely cat with his own unique quirks and personality that make him fun to watch and be around. He has a good working purr machine for when its cuddle time too. Once acclimated into his new home, we fully believe Henry will have a sweet, close relationship to who all he spends his time with. We are looking for Henry's forever home to adopt him on a foster-to-adopt basis. Here is what the process would look like: 1. Henry's awesome, super cool future family submits an application for him. 2. The equally as cool and awesome Adoption Team here at NLCR will review the application, and reached out once approved. 3. Arrange a meet-and-greet with Henry and his existing Foster Parents. This will allow you to see Henry in the environment he is used to, knowing he will be shy during this interaction. This will also give you an opportunity to meet his Foster Parents (they are awesome, too). 4. Arrange foster-to-adopt trial. This can begin the day of the 1st meet and greet or on a later date. 5. Foster-to-Adopt trial begins. The rescue will provide food and litter Henry is accustomed to. The rescue, with Henry's current fosters, will stay in communication with the adopter to receive updates and provide any needed support. 6. Foster-to-Adopt trial ends. This is either due to finalizing of adoption paperwork or Henry returning to his existing fosters if this is not a good fit. Henry is the kitty that has been with us the longest searching for his forever home. He recently turned 1 year old and will have been with the rescue for 1 year come the beginning of June. Henry is vaccinated, microchipped, NEGATIVE for his triple test, and neutered. His adoption fee is $100. To submit an application for Henry or any of our other adoptable kitties, please submit an application using this link: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/NLCR/Cat

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Henry, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
