At 9 years old and just 7 pounds, this sweet senior Chihuahua is on the shy side, but he has so much love to give once he feels safe and comfortable. He gets along well with other dogs and takes comfort in having calm companions around him.Camo is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm, and he’s handling it like a champ. With a little extra TLC during his recovery, he’ll be ready to take on the world!He may be timid at first, but gentle patience goes a long way with Camo. Once he opens up, his soft personality shines through. This sweet boy is looking for a quiet, understanding home where he can blossom at his own pace and feel safe and loved. Camo may benefit greatly from having another confident dog in the home to serve as a calming presence and gentle role model. He finds comfort in the company of other dogs, and watching them navigate the world helps him feel a little more brave each day.******Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog’s individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with time and a gentle approach, most of these dogs adapt quickly.
