My story

Foster Update: "Meet Effie Jolie (who we’ve been calling Dixie). She is the ultimate cuddle bug who is all about snuggles and pleasing her humans. She is adjusting very well to her foster home that she shares with a furry friend that is twice her size and they get along beautifully. She is a smart girl who already recognizes her name and comes when called. She isn’t a big fan of being in a crate, but we are working on that. She does go potty outside and only had a few accidents in the house when I first got her. I have truly never met a sweeter or more perfect furbaby. She is so gentle and rarely barks and she walks well on a leash without pulling. She is so deserving of a home where she will be loved on and spoiled the rest of her life. Fun Facts: ✅ Loves her toys and is not destructive ✅ Enjoys car rides ✅ Walks well on a leash without pulling ✅ Is dog and cat friendly ✅ Is truly a lap dog and loves to snuggle ✅ Mostly housetrained" Per MAS Staff: 5/30: Effie is very sweet but initially shy when first meeting new people. This morning, she allowed me to carry her to her kennel along with her blanket and toys. 5/29: Effie is a sweet little nugget! She appears to be potty trained, as she did not have any accidents in her kennel and took care of all her bathroom needs outside. Despite a back leg injury, she moves around quite well. She walked nicely on leash without pulling and enjoyed exploring the grass.
