My story

BLAZE | MALE | Approx. DOB DEC 29, 2024 Meet Blaze – The Three-Legged Wonder! 🐾 Blaze’s journey hasn’t been easy, but you’d never guess it by his gentle spirit and constantly wagging tail. This sweet, mellow 5-month-old Akita was surrendered to us with a broken front left leg — an injury he tragically sustained at just 3 weeks old. The incident left him with nerve damage in his front right leg, and despite numerous vet visits, and limited resources , Blaze will need to have the leg amputated. Despite what he has gone through Blaze is great with people, including kids, and while he can be a little protective of his food (understandably so), he’s overall a sweet and easygoing pup who just wants to feel safe and loved. He enjoys slow strolls around the yard, loves playdates with other dogs, and has completely mastered the art of the soulful look — perfect for melting hearts and sneaking extra treats. Speaking of treats — Blaze loves them, which makes training a breeze. He already knows how to sit and is eager to learn more with a little time and encouragement from his future family. He’s ready to bring love, loyalty, and lots of cuddles to his forever home.. Now all he needs is a forever family to call his own — one filled with love, patience, and belly rubs.
