My story

Hi there! I’m Colonel — not a military man, but I am a certified good boy who showed up wearing a Superman collar. Fitting, right? I came when called, hopped right into the car, and rode like a champ. The nice person who found me said I was super friendly, and honestly? They were right.I’m still getting to know the folks here at the shelter, and they’re getting to know me too, but so far I’ve shown that I’ve got a gentle spirit and a heart full of loyalty. I’m hoping my next adventure leads me straight into the arms of a family who will be my loving new family. Until then, I’ll be here… cape not included, but courage and kindness absolutely guaranteed.~~~~~The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is open every day from noon until 6pm (excluding limited holidays/events). You can meet our animals with the convenience of an appointment or as a walk-in. Appointments can be made by emailing adoption@wilco.org. Interested in fostering a dog in need? You can take one of our pups on an adventure for a few hours, giving them a much-needed break from the shelter while you enjoy some quality time.
