Ryder

My story

A28135 Ryder is a brown and white colored, approximately 1-year-old, 55-pound, neutered male, Pitbull. He entered the shelter as an owner surrender on 05-28-2025 due to the fact she lost her home and is now homeless. Ryder is a friendly, eager and excited boy here at the shelter. He is still trying to understand this shelter environment and why he is here. But he will meet you at the kennel door ready to go for a walk. Our staff describes him as friendly, saying he is just still trying to figure this place out. He does like affection and being with people, just still unsure here. He was easy to leash and excited to go for a walk. He has moments of walking well on the leash, but he is a determined sniffer and will strongly pull you to the smell he wants to get to. He has had some training and will “sit” upon command for a treat. He shows no interest in other dogs here at the shelter. A home with a yard for him to run and play in would be great as he is still young with some puppy energy. The previous owner says he is house broken and has lived with children but no other pets. Ryder will be a fun-loving family member in his new forever home.
