My story

Dakota girl is shy at first but easy brought out of her shell! She is a 15 week old puppy who came to us from one of our rescue partners in Texas hoping to avoid growing up in rescue! Dakota is guessed to be a lab mix and we're thinking maybe shepherd but honestly with our Texas specials you never know! Things we have noticed about Dakota so far: - She has done so well in the car! I mean, that maybe since she also has been on her first plane ride and so the rest seems easy peasy. - She loves being outside! She is learning from her foster sisters how fun it is to romp around in the yard! - She enjoys playing with other dogs and could benefit from another friend or just continued socializing! - She seems to be catching on to potty training with just a couple of accidents here and there. In her new environment we hope that with structure she will catch on pretty quickly but like all puppies will need patience and consistency. - She is struggling a bit in her crate however we are continuing to work with it and ensuring that she knows it is her safe space! She is comfortable in her foster home until adoption, however if her forever home is found before 6/14 she is eligible for a foster to adopt home while she waits for her spay. Her chosen forever home would be responsible for taking her to her spay at our local vet in Mokena! Her adoption fee includes her spay, up to date vaccines and preventatives, and microchip.
