My story

We`re pretty sure this guy isn`t about to break out into The Carlton, but you never know! Maybe being named after a `famous` dance will help Carlton feel a bit more comfortable at the shelter while he waits for a family to call his own?Carlton is a lovely boy with a big smile that he`s happy to share in the right moments. He`ll also show off his nice `sit` skills and then follow up with a gentle lean, just so you know he`s grateful for the walk and attention.Should you have a dog at home who needs a friend like Carlton, our shelter staff will help introduce him to be sure everyone gets along, just like they do for all the other dogs here.Carlton recently spent the day out of the shelter with a DDO host, and here`s their report! `Carlton was very well behaved. We took multiple walks, passing by animals and people with no issue. It seems like he just wants attention from everyone. It was very hot today so we spent a lot of time in the car. He seemed to enjoy it very much though. Half the time he was riding with his head out the window and half the time he was sleeping. He enjoyed a pup cup before coming back to my apartment to take a nap. I was warned beforehand, but I definitely agree. Once you open the car door, he turns into a rocket. Besides that and a little jumping up, he was very enjoyable to be around.`Carlton is vaccinated, neutered and microchipped.His ADOPTION FEE IS WAIVED! We want all our dogs to have homes as quickly as possible. In an effort to help dogs with longer stays, those who are deteriorating in the shelter environment, or who are harder to place find homes more quickly, the adoption fee for this dog has been waived.
