My story

We`re pretty sure this guy isn`t about to break out into The Carlton, but you never know what dance steps he may have in mind! Carlton is a lovely boy with a big smile that he`s happy to share in the right moments. He`ll also show off his nice `sit` skills and then follow up with a gentle lean, just so you know he`s grateful for the attention.Carlton recently spent the day out of the shelter with a DDO host, and here`s their report! `Carlton was very well behaved. We took multiple walks, passing by animals and people with no issue. It seems like he just wants attention from everyone. It was very hot today, so we spent a lot of time in the car. He seemed to enjoy it very much though. Half the time he was riding with his head out the window and half the time he was sleeping. He enjoyed a pup cup before coming back to my apartment to take a nap. I was warned beforehand, but I definitely agree. Once you open the car door, he turns into a rocket. Besides that, and a little jumping up, he was very enjoyable to be around.`Lucky Carlton`s foster family also had great things to say! `He’s getting along well with his foster sister. They play rowdy for a few minutes before going their separate ways. He is doing great with being in his crate during the day. He’s been very well behaved and polite around kids that he’s met. He is a couch potato about 90% of the day and loves to snuggle. Carlton is a lovable boy that would make the perfect companion.`Should you have a dog at home who needs a friend like Carlton, our shelter staff will help introduce him to be sure everyone gets along, just like they do for all the other dogs here.Carlton is vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. In an effort to help dogs with longer stays, those who are deteriorating in the shelter environment, or who are harder to place find homes more quickly, the adoption fee for this dog has been waived.
