My story

Meet Phoenix: Ready to Rise Into His Next Chapter! Just like the legendary bird he’s named after, Phoenix is ready for a new beginning—and maybe that’s with you! This gorgeous longhaired guy was surrendered for adoption in mid-May by his former owner, who wanted him to find a home where he could continue to thrive. Now, Phoenix is patiently waiting to rise into a new life filled with love and windowsill daydreams. Please note: His long, luxurious fur will need regular brushing to keep it looking its best. His Favorite Things: * Gazing out the window to watch the world go by * Chin rubs * Cuddling on the couch—though he prefers not to be held for very long Social Skills: Gets along well with other cats and even dogs—he’s a true social butterfly! Phoenix may have lost one home, but like his mythical namesake, he’s ready for a rebirth—a fresh start in a home where he can be cherished and adored. Phoenix’s Ideal Home: * A family or individual ready to give him the attention he loves (just don’t expect long cuddle sessions in your arms!) * A cozy space with a great view—windows are his favorite * Possibly other friendly pets to keep him company * Someone who appreciates the beauty of second chances The shelter is open Tuesdays through Fridays 3:30-6:30pm AND Saturdays & Sundays 1pm-4pm. No appointments are needed during those times. If you are not available during those times, special arrangements for a meet and greet may be able to be arranged by emailing arfcats@bereaanimalrescue.com.
