My story

Hi, I'm Poe! I'm still figuring things out right now. I came up on a big transport from the South, and while I'm so grateful to be safe, everything feels a little overwhelming. I'm a small Doberman mix with a shy heart, and I'm looking for a quiet, patient home where I can settle in at my own pace. The world can be a little scary for me, but I want to be brave. With calm, gentle people who are willing to give me time and space, I know I'll come out of my shell. I would do best in a peaceful home-maybe with older, respectful kids who understand that I need to go slow. I get along well with other dogs, especially the kind that aren't too pushy. Having a friendly, confident dog around might really help me build my own confidence-just as long as they give me room when I need it. I also don't mind kitties and would have no problem living with them in the future! I'm not the kind of dog who will come bounding up to you right away, but if you're someone who believes in quiet companionship and the magic of trust built over time, I think we could be something really special!
