My story

** VISION  IMPAIRED** Hello there, my name is TBone, I was born approximately 6/9/2021. I am a sweet boy who loves to be around his people. I was a bottle baby so I am very friendly. I was adopted as a kitten but then the humans decided they didn’t like each other so something called a DIVORCE happened. I got really depressed when the humans were fighting all the time before the DIVORCE so I started eating and eating and by the time the humans decided to return me to the rescue I was VERY fat.  These days, while I could be a bit slimmer, the vet says my weight is ok.  I love to eat wet food and get messy doing it.  I’m a gentle sweet boy that’s very laid back. Ok- to be perfectly honest- I’m a very lazy cat.  I mean, why move if you don’t have to? And I admit to being a bit of a slob about my grooming.  I have medium length hair that’s very cottony and mats very easily.  I do allow brushing but I’m not a big fan of it.  My foster mom keeps me groomed, especially my pantaloons and the upper part of my tail.  Like I said - I’m lazy and am also chunky- and when you’re  plus sized you don’t  bend in the middle very easily.  So my  foster mom keeps me shaved down.  I’m pretty good with being groomed and shaved, as long as the groomer talks while doing it so I have an idea where they are.  I do have visual impairment- I can see some shadows but can’t make them out.  I’ve been checked out by the vet several times but he’s never been able to figure out what the cause is.  I don’t climb and I don’t care for heights because I cannot see to get down, so I’m mostly a floor kitty. I like to lay on laps but when you first put me in your lap ( I can’t see well enough to get there myself) and it’s  best to pick  me up with both your arms under my belly and hold me close to your chest- remember, I can’t see what’s going on and I get afraid of being dropped.  Once I’m on your lap it’s best to keep an arm around me until i feel Secure and then I’ll relax.  I get very scared by being picked up or moved abruptly, and when I’m scared I get an onto things with my claws. If you’re sitting in the couch or in a chair I will pat you with my paw to let you know I want some lap time.  I like other friendly kitties and cat friendly dogs.  I’m a bit in the portly side but overall pretty healthy.  I have a tiny meow that’s really at odds with my size. I would love to join your family. I am neutered, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, current on vaccines and microchipped. My adoption fee is $80June 1, 2025, 11:16 pm

If you have any questions or would like to adopt T Bone, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
