My story

At just 10 months old, Benny came to us as part of an emergency rescue from shelters affected by the California wildfires in early March 2025. When he arrived, he was suffering from an untreated broken leg, which required extended care at our Pet Health Centers. As a result, Benny became very under-socialized and fearful. In July, one of our incredible foster parents welcomed him into her home, and he has settled in better than we could have anticipated! His foster mom is working on building his confidence with the help of her resident dog—an ideal companion, since Benny absolutely loves other dogs. Now, Benny is ready to find his forever home. He would do best with an experienced adopter and older children who can help him ease into his new surroundings. The perfect home would be in a suburban area with a large, fenced-in yard where he can safely explore and play with his new family.
