My story

Meet Pixie.! This girl came in as a stray and was never claimed. Little back story on her is that when she came in, she was absolutely PETRIFIED she was shaking like a leaf, would cower in the corner when we tried to get her outside to go potty. Our amazing kennel attendant worked with her daily and she started to slowly open up. For the past almost 4 days she has been hanging out in the supervisor's office being absolutely spoiled and has opened up even more. She has been here with us at the shelter for 12 days and we are so proud of the progress she has made. She is very timid, gets nervous but she is such a sweet girl once you earn and build that trust. She does very well with other dogs and that does seem to help open her up, so a home with another dog would be ideal for her. Her tongue does randomly just hang out and it is absolutely the cutest thing EVER! Due to her being timid and having that wall with new people we would have her be a multiple meet and greet dog where the potential new owner can just come and sit and spend some time with her for, she can get use to you and comfortable. Pixie does LOVE and I mean LOVES all toys. We are assuming she is around that 1–2-year age mark, we are unsure of breed but what we do know is that she is 100% cuteness.
