My story

Vienna’s road to recovery has been one of patience, love, and resilience. This 6-year-old Chihuahua mix came to us alongside a group of pups rescued from county due to their dermatological needs. Like her companions, Vienna received immediate medical care and has made great progress physically—but her healing journey didn’t stop there. Vienna is now enrolled in a board and train program with our trusted training partners at Connected Canines, where she’s working on building her confidence, learning basic obedience, and overcoming her fears. She’s a fearful avoidant pup, which means she tends to shut down or flee when overwhelmed—making her a potential flight risk. That’s why we're taking the extra time to ensure she’s not only healthy on the outside, but emotionally prepared for life in a loving home. Vienna is a gentle soul with so much love to give, and we know the right family will help her continue to blossom. With patience, understanding, and a secure environment, she has every potential to thrive.
