What my friends at ACC say about me:I'm an independent kitty who likes to do my own thing.What do you get when you cross a cat with a couch? A cat-potato! And that's me to a T!I am finding the shelter a little overwhelming, but when it's just you and me and some peace and quiet you'll see what a love bug I am.I am looking for a home with a patient person.I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.I will flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home.I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.I'm sensitive and shy. I'll need extra help from you.I would do best in a home with only adult humans.A volunteer writes: I don't know if Lucky feels especially lucky at the moment. We've heard that he likes to be the one to introduce himself to new people and the stream of people introducing themselves to Lucky at the shelter seems to have put a bit of an unwanted spin on his plan. Everything comes in and on time and Lucky hasn't been so fortunate to have access to the timeline he prefers with people in and out and trying to win his friendship. Not only is he a beautiful boy with a stylish fluffy coat, but we've also been told he's terrifically playful and affectionate - just a very well rounded cat in need of some extra patience. I had some luck with treats as Lucky thoughtfully stepped forward to look around and snack. He allowed some pets as he ate, but just as quickly retreated when all the shelter hustle and bustle got to be too much.
