My story

Meet Joey 💛 Joey has been let down by humans since the day he was born. Forgotten on a property and left to fend for himself, he grew up without the things most dogs take for granted—love, affection, a warm place to sleep, even consistent access to clean water. Understandably, Joey is a little nervous around new people. But he’s not without hope—he watches and learns from other dogs, taking cues from their comfort and confidence. Joey is a small guy, weighing around 35–40 lbs, and we estimate he's between 6 and 8 years old. He’s spent far too long surviving on his own, and now it’s time to show him what it feels like to truly belong. Joey is looking for a foster—or better yet, an adopter—who is patient and willing to take things slow as he adjusts to a life he's always deserved but has never known. He would thrive in a home with a calm, confident dog companion and a securely fenced yard where he can explore at his own pace. It’s Joey’s turn to be part of a family. Could that be yours?
