My story

Meet DeeDee Shy sweet DeeDee has come such a long way, and needs a patient person to give her a forever home. Initially scared of her own shadow, she now MELTS with attention, particularly face & ear pats. Just like premium ice cream! She’s interested in her environment (cautiously) and interacts well with other cats, particularly handsome Mr.Hastings. She’d do best in a home without children. And would blossom with a calm presence. She’s extremely gentle, have never seen a hiss or swat from her even when she’s startled. DeeDee is a very special girl and has the potential to be an amazing pet.I am fostering Dee Dee and can tell you a little bit about her. In the 6 wks that she's been with me, she has made steady progress. For the first few days, she only came out from under the bed when I was asleep. She ate her food, used the litter box, but would spend all day under the bed. It took about 2 weeks before she would eat while I was around and she would come into the kitchen when I popped open the food can. She wouldn't let me touch her, until the 3rd week. If I gave her treats she would take them right out of my hand. Now she spends a lot of time on the night stand. She likes to be in the sun and gaze out the windows. I still can't just walk up and hold out my hand just to touch her. She scampers away and is very skittish due to her experience living as a stray.
