My story

Hi there, I'm Weda – and let me tell you, it's been a journey. Once upon a time, I wasn’t so lucky. I was attacked by other dogs and then surrendered to the shelter by the only people I knew. But that was then… and this is now. Thanks to my heroes at The Love Pit, I got the medical care, love, and safety I needed to get back on my paws. These days, I’m soaking up the good life in my foster home—lounging on the patio, basking in the sunshine, or curling up close to my humans. I’m a sweet, easy-going girl who’s just looking for that same peace and comfort in a forever home of my own. I enjoy short walks (a lady needs to stretch her legs!), but I’ll admit… if a squirrel or bunny darts by, my instincts kick in. Maybe we can work on that together? I hear training is a great bonding activity. Now, full honesty here: I’m not a fan of the crate. Not even a little. I’ve got some separation anxiety—can you blame me after everything I’ve been through? I can be pretty vocal and would do best with a heavy-duty crate if needed, but mostly I just want to feel safe and secure when you're away. I’d do best in a calm home with older kiddos, and I’d be cool with a fur friend after a slow and proper introduction. What I’m really looking for is someone to help me build my confidence and show me that the best days are still ahead. Could that someone be you? Love and kisses, Weda
