My story

Name: Gomsil Age: 4 months Sex: Female Spayed: Not yet Breed: Jindo Mix Color: Beige Weight: 8kg Height: 40cm (shoulder height)   Rescue Story: Gomsil was born under heartbreaking circumstances. Her mother had been tied near a village center, likely to be slaughtered during Boknal (a hot summer day associated with dog meat consumption). Miraculously, she gave birth to her puppies before that could happen. Thanks to kind local residents, the entire family was rescued and brought to safety. Personality & Socialization with Humans Gomsil is extremely affectionate and trusting. She doesn’t just bond with familiar people—she’ll happily approach strangers, nuzzle up to them, and ask for pets with her charming, playful nature. She’s currently receiving weekly socialization training from professional trainers, and her friendliness with people continues to shine. She’s comfortable being picked up (even with arms under her belly!) and shows her belly to new people as a sign of trust. She would do well in a family with children under 13, as she’s very gentle and loving. Socialization with Other Dogs Gomsil has excellent dog-to-dog social skills. She gets along with dogs of all sizes and ages—from playful puppies to calm adult dogs—and is not one to start any trouble. If another dog gets too rowdy or confrontational, Gomsil simply walks away. She’s spent her entire life so far around other dogs, so she’s very dog-savvy. Due to growing up in a group, she may show mild separation anxiety when alone. Cats Unknown but can be tested upon request. Energy Level Gomsil has a moderate energy level. She enjoys being outside and playing but knows how to settle down quietly afterward. ‍ Leash & Walks She’s currently undergoing leash training and is learning to walk calmly alongside her person. So far, she’s doing great! Other Behaviors Gomsil is not food-aggressive toward people or other dogs. She rarely barks and is calm when placed in a kennel. She’s mostly outdoor potty trained, but at night she uses a pee pad—though accidents are rare. Gomsil is a sweet, balanced, and loving puppy who is ready to bring warmth and happiness to her forever home. Could that home be yours? Send in your application today through our website https://adoptmekoreanrescue.org/adoption-application/ You can also see her post in our Facebook Link to Post or Instagram Link to Post! AKR dogs can arrive at Vancouver or Toronto airport and may be able to arrive at some US airports (Seattle, LA, NY, Boston etc) where we have flight volunteers. If interested, please contact us. ##2425703##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Gomsil, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
