My story

Curmudgeonly and cranky are NOT the sole qualifications to be an orange tabby cat. In fact, some of our finest feline friends of the orange persuasion can be downright “loverly.” Here at Tabby’s Place, we know from experience that ginger babies and carrot tops can make fabulous furry friends and wonderful kittycat companions.Sunny joins a long list of our favorite orange fluffballs, like Tabby’s Place oldies-but-goodies Steven and Gator, in making us smile. Behind those whiskers is a soul that listens, understands and comforts – often better than any human could.Sunny came to us with his adopted sister Schwartz, after their owner became very ill and could no longer care for the pair. Leaving an established home and a beloved owner can be quite challenging: We all know how precious set routines can be for our felines. Sunny is still nervous in his new surroundings, but he can be quite affectionate once he gets to know you. He may be hesitant at first but, if you are patient, Sunny will let you give him lots of pets, chin scratches, and butt rubs!Sunny gets along well with other kitties and would do well in either a solo or a multi-cat home.
